Anything Else?:

In-Character Information
Name : Riwane
Game/Series: Pokemon
Teacher/Student/Other: Student!
Age: 17
Grade Level/Class Taught/Job: Freshman
Dorm or Living Arrangement: Dorm?

Personality:

Riwane is a cheerful and headstrong Charmander. She has a tendency to always do her best no matter the situation and is satisfied with a loss if she knows she gave it her all. She really enjoys the outdoors and sleeping amongst flower beds, something that has been with her since she was little, and it brings her peace of mind.

Her love of spicy food is great! The hotter, the better, some say it’s what gives her her spicy and fiery attitude when it comes to games, teasing or romance and adventure!

She has a tendency to wanderlust, exploring everything she can and dreaming of places that she’d like to visit, be it they’re real or not mattered nothing to her. It was the thrill of adventure and exploration that drove her to such, so she tends to day dream a lot as well.

Even though Riwane is a fire type, of the firetail family, she has a fond fascination with the ocean. She wishes she could swim in it, with all the colorful and playful water pokemon so she tends to be a bit jealous and timid around water types.

She has a bit of an odd angle to studies, she’s good at learning and remembering things, but she’s horrid at studying and finds it boring! So if she didn’t learn it in class, or remembered it from somewhere, the chances of her studying it are very slim.

Riwane can get very heated in combat, going all out even in practice matches, something she enjoys greatly. It gets her going and she feels that if she gives it her all then she remained true to herself and her nature.

Riwane can be a bit headstrong, aloof and childish. There are many things she doesn't know about the outside world since most of her training and learning came from the farm where she grew up in. Sure she was given extensive training, her trainer's wishes were all granted by his parents, if anything to keep them both happy. So she's used to getting her way most of the time.

She however has a great fear of being alone. The shock of knowing that her trainer and friend would never come back did a bit more than traumatize her. So she tends to panic whenever she's in complete solitude. After the funeral, she promised herself that she'd never fall behind anyone and would be the best she could be for both their sakes. Be that as a pokemon, or anything else that comes her way!

Even though her demeanor is a bit fiery, she has trust issues due to the untimely demise of her trainer. She might be easy to befriend and yet, to really get to truly be trusted, it takes longer and more personal time. She'll be your friend, but won't try, or allow to get close in fear that she may be abandoned again. Which is one issue she always had, even after her trainer's father told her and explained what had happened. She never could shake the feeling of abandon the sudden death caused to stir in her.

She has a tendency to be a pack rat, but less about the objects and more about a sense of ownership. As if the items itself held no material value but the fact that hey are hers makes it so that she becomes defensive over her trinkets, even more so if there's sentimental value behind it. She can be a bit flirty, and not even know it since she never really got to that 'talk' with her trainer or his parents. So it might end up awkward at times when she seems to be very playful and affectionate and then confronted about it. Becoming confused if it leads to that sort of talk.

Backstory:

Riwane, despite her fiery nature and personality, belonged to a young pokemon trainer named Alex. Alex however, was terminally ill, becoming a pokemon trainer was his lifetime wish, something his parents couldn’t deny him. Riwane, of course, didn’t understand such things, so she was always playful and had a tendency to push Alex to continue training and playing with her, she wanted to get stronger after all.

Alex always spoke to her of the places he wished he could visit, stories of the other amazing regions and the bountiful number of pokemon that existed in the world. Riwane didn’t know about that many pokemon, having lived all her life in Alex’s parents farm where the most she would see were Rattata’s, Pidgies, and the occasional plant pokemon that ventured into the farm like Oddishes and Bellsprouts. So the aspect of there being other great regions and amazing sounding pokemon like Dragonites and Ninetails or the Legendary Pokemon triggered her wanderlust and desire to adventure.

She led a pretty peaceful life, where most of her adventures involved playing pretend with her trainer, or training hard to learn new techniques. Passion was never missing from Riwane, always pushing herself past her limits and practicing strong skills in order to achieve victory for her and her friend in the coming gym battle…

But as fate would have it, that day never came, one week before the scheduled gym battle, Alex became bed ridden with an intense fever, the last of his days numbered as his illness took over his body. To Riwane it was not the same however, she stood by his side, never leaving, listening to him tell her how she’d grow to be a strong pokemon all her own, that she’d achieve greatness for them both, but most of all, he begged her to enjoy her life to the fullest, to live it twice as happily and cheerful for them both. That he didn’t want to leave her, he wanted to be by her throughout her life, but he couldn’t.

She of course didn’t understand, they’d be friends forever right? The day that Alex passed away, was devastating and traumatic. When Alex wouldn’t wake up, Riwane thought it was a cruel joke, specially when she would play bite him and nudge him. Even more when his parents, face full of tears, wanted to take him away… She fought, not wanting to let strangers take Alex from her, she had to be restrained by Alex’s pained father. She cried out, whined and whimpered, wanting to go with her trainer, but in the end there was nothing she could do.

She spent a long time, just laying on his bed, waiting for him to come back. She would refuse to eat, or move, she didn’t want to miss a beat if Alex was ever to return… that was until Alex’s father sat down on the same bed, and looked out the same window. For a few hours he spoke to her, about all the good things she did for Alex, all the fun times and the smiles she allowed him to have when they were together.

He also explained what had happened. It took a while for her to understand it, but eventually, he broke through. She didn’t know how to take it at first. Despair, sorrow and sadness were the first feelings that took over, followed by anger and abandon, wondering why she couldn’t save him. And then she remembered his words, and why he had spoke them. The thought filled her with determination, and she promised she would live out her life for both their sakes. That’s when Alex’s dad pulled out the flyer for Smash Academy. It would be there that she’d continue her adventure. So with a hug and a lick, she nuzzled up to him so they could rest, for in the morning, he’d take her to her new beginning.

Anything Else?: Nothing I can think of… Other than I’m not opposed to any type of RP, from one extreme to the other, it’s all good.

I wonder what kinds of food they serve here… I’d love if I got to continue eating human food! It’s so rich and yummy and oh so good!

Then again… if I change into one, then no one can say anything! Ha! I am totally a genius! Take that psychic types! Riwane is here to take over!

… Now if I could just find out where my next class is…

In-Character 3rd person writing post:

Riwave wandered around the halls a bit lost, wondering if she had been tricked, or if someone had changed the rooms around. It was beyond her to even think she was the one who was lost! Oh no, that would be impossible for an amazing explorer like herself.

So she set off up and down the halls, peeking into each classroom in order to find the one she was supposed to go to. She’d had a word or two with the principal about changing around the school without telling her after she got out of class!

Soon enough she found herself peeking into the class she was supposed to be in, trying her best to sneak in while the teacher's back was turned. Successfully arriving on a vacant desk, she settled down and opened the class book up in the desk so it would cover her face while her presence stayed unnoticed. If she was lucky, she'd just need to listen to the rest of the lecture... if she got found out... well, she'd cross that bridge when she got then she supposed.

Throughout the class she peaked over her book several times, looking at the other students and what they were doing. During said curious actions she tried doodling the actions they were performing, albeit not very well. She enjoyed drawing even if she wasn't good at it, it was a pleasant way of recording things in her own way... Like writing "rawr!" on the fire breathing teacher that was now lecturing the class.

Her gaze soon fell outside the window, wondering when it'd be time to go outside again. She's not the type to enjoy being indoors much and even less of a studious person. She'd rather be outside and enjoying the nice day, playing and having fun... but nope, she was here, not even understanding what the teacher had been talking about as she daydreamed the class away...

That, of course was until she leaned too far into her chair and slipped, the noise of the hard crash startling half the class, while the other burst out in laughter and the teacher looked concerned, "Are you okay miss..." of course since she hadn't been here for the attendance, she didn't know who the new girl was... Not that'd she'd have a chance to really question her as Riwane bolted out the door completely embarrassed. Why were they laughing? She wasn't sure. All she was sure about was that her face burned with embarrassment, and that she'd never been in a situation where someone laughed at her.

She quickly hid in the bathroom and locked herself in one of the stalls, huddling up on the toilet in hopes that no one would come looking for her here. " Great way to start things Riwane, you're the queen clutz of clutzland! I'm sure they'll be remembering who you are now! Even if you didn't get to introduce yourself..." she huffed and sighed and frowned. This day totally sucked... but she wouldn't let that keep her down, she came here with a goal in mind and as a personal promise to her deceased trainer. She wouldn't lose to anyone, regardless of how dire, or embarrassing the situation would become.

Wiping her tears away, which she'd never admit to, she made her way back to the classroom, head held high and ignoring the smirks and looks from her classmates.
